// mission

A command-center view of live global news.

OSINT.tv is a personal video wall for monitoring official live news feeds from around the world in parallel. It is also a prototype for VUCA News, a forthcoming geopolitical intelligence platform — the data model here (typed sources, provenance labels, regional and source-type filters, mission presets) is designed to carry forward.

// source policy

What goes on the wall

  • Only official, operator-owned channels are included — no aggregator feeds, no unofficial rebroadcasts.
  • Embeds use each platform's own player (YouTube's live-stream iframe today) under that platform's standard sharing terms.
  • Every source carries a provenance label and an explicit ownership note. Editorial line and state involvement are surfaced rather than hidden — see the source directory for the full breakdown.
  • State-funded and state-controlled outlets (CGTN, RT, Press TV, etc.) are labeled neutrally and factually, not editorialized. Reading them next to public broadcasters and wire services is the point.

Source types

  • Public BroadcasterPublicly funded, editorially independent (e.g. BBC, NHK).
  • CommercialPrivately owned for-profit (e.g. CBS, Sky).
  • Wire ServiceAgency feeding other outlets (e.g. Reuters, AP).
  • State MediaState-funded and state-controlled (e.g. CGTN, RT).
  • International BroadcasterCountry-funded outward-facing channel (e.g. DW, France 24).
  • RegionalRegion-specific coverage (e.g. Africanews).
  • FinancialMarkets and business focus (e.g. Bloomberg).
  • SpecializedNiche or thematic outlet (e.g. WION on geopolitics).

// limitations

What this is not

  • Not every channel is embeddable. Several outlets (BBC News, Sky News, CGTN, RT, WION, ABC News US) run 24/7 YouTube streams but disallow third-party embedding. Those sources stay in the registry — marked embed-restricted — but render an “unavailable” tile. Use the Open Original button on the tile to watch directly on the platform.
  • Streams go down. Live URLs can rotate, channels rebrand, or geo-restrictions kick in. Use the per-tile reload button, or report the source from the directory.
  • Audio is muted by default. Browser autoplay policy requires it; unmute by clicking into a tile.
  • Designed for large screens.4×4 is heavy on CPU and bandwidth; on a phone you'll want 2×2 or Focus.
  • No rebroadcasting. This site embeds via official players only and does not record, transcode, or redistribute content.

This is an in-progress MVP. Up next: RSS headline ticker, an AI-summarized “what changed recently” panel, a watch queue, a crisis preset builder, and per-tile health indicators.
